Border Collie Rescue of West Tennessee

Come see our puppies this Saturday, May 19 at Hollywood Feed in Cordova.  We’ll be at 1001 N Germantown Pkwy from 11-3.  You won’t want to miss it!!

This pretty merle border collie is Alice.  She is 3 yrs old and is new to our rescue.  Alice is a petite girl at under 30 lbs and seems to be a wonderful, dog friendly, cat friendly and toddler friendly girl.  After she’s had a chance to adjust to her foster home, we’ll post more information about her.

This is “TJ” (short for “Tornado Jack”)  He is a purebred, registered, 2yr old boy that is the best of what border collies can be.  TJ is incredibly smart and eager to learn.  He is living happily in a foster home with multiple dogs, a dog friendly cat and several kids.  TJ loves kids!  Here’s what his foster mom says about him…
“TJ is a medium energy boy.  He is great at entertaining himself – likes rope toys, balls (Jolly ball), and things that squeek.  He plays well with other dogs – likes to chase, be chased, and rough house – he can be vocal in play, but not aggressive.  He has no issues with the kids (except he swings the toys without care as to who is around).  He is great in the house – not destructive at all.  He is housebroken and crate trained.    He likes to snuggle on the bed but he doesn’t try to get on other furniture.   He doesn’t like thunderstorms, but he is  not too bad. Great dog!”             Like all of our dogs, a secure fence is required.

These babies are 9 weeks old now and almost ready for adoption.  Their beautiful young mama is a purebred bc but daddy was an unknown.  Check them out under “Adoptable Dogs”

This handsome bc mix boy is Dewey.  He has lived in his foster home since puppyhood and is well loved there.  He would be welcome to live there forever but Dewey will not stay in a fenced yard.  He can jump the best fence and then he travels the neighborhood greeting people, kids, other dogs and eventually makes his way back home.   In a city environment, that puts sweet Dewey at risk of being hit by a car. It is with sadness that we now have to look for a new home for him… somewhere out in the country or on acreage where he can be unbound by a fence.    Dewey loves people and will stay close to people that care for him.  Dewey is neutered, up to date on shots and microchipped.  If you would like to give Dewey a home, please call Edith at 901-754-4720
